Jacques Bissonnette
 |
Born in 1953 in the Villeray neighbourhood
of Montreal, Jacques Bissonnette studied psychology at the university,
but dropped out early to embark on a tour of Africa, later took
a job in James Bay, and then went back to the land on a farm
in Gaspesia. After returning to Montreal, he obtained a degree
in computer sciences and, in 1986, he published his first novel,
Programmeur à gages, then, in 1991, Cannibales,
Sanguines in 1994 and Gueule d'Ange in 1998, three
novels that established him as one of the best Quebec writers
of crime novels. He has two sons, Raphaël and Félix. |
