Marie Jakober

Photo : Gale Comin |
Marie Jakober grew up in a small,
very isolated village in northern Alberta, so remote from everything
that her primary and secondary education was by correspondence.
This did not stop her, at the young age of thirteen, from gaining
international recognition for the publication of a poem, "The
Fairy Queen." A graduate of Carleton University in Ottawa,
she has since become interested in the place the history of mythology
now holds in our modern world. Marie Jakober now lives in Calgary. |
