Chronoreg

A serious attempt to raise the writing of action SF to new heights in Québec.
The New York Review of Science Fiction

Illustration : Jean-Pierre Normand

Haunted by the death of Sebastian, just when he was reunited with him in Comitan, Mexico, Denis Blackburn acquires some chronoreg, a drug that, according to some, makes it possible to go back into the past. But although he does indeed relive some recent events, he cannot prevent the tragic death of his friend.

Back home, Blackburn, who is an officer in the secret services, must neutralize the leader of the Irregulars, a rebel squad that can change the course of the war between a sovereign Quebec and Newfoundland and Canada.

This time the past catches up with Denis Blackburn : he knows Aguirre, the rebel leader, and their old friendship endangers Blackburn's mission. Using chronoreg again, Blackburn tries to change the course of the mission. But is it really possible to change the past ? And if so, at what cost ?

Chronoreg, a breathtaking tale of love and death, a major work by Daniel Sernine.
