As the century comes to a close, the great powers on Earth are secretly consulting with one another : a new threat has been discovered, one that is coming from outer space, and it must be stopped. On Erymede, in the glistening domed city of Psyche, Master Karilian, from the Metapsychic Institute, is haunted by a premonitory vision : he sees himself going back to Earth, to the Villa of the Moons, where more than a decade ago he was a participant in tragic events. At the Peers Foundation, the main Canadian parapsychology institute, two young telepaths, Nicolas and Diane, explore the scope of their powers, mainly with the help of an amazing device, the Trancer. But the Foundation is very close to the Villa of the Moons, and it is when Nicolas becomes aware of the disturbing interest the military has in his talents that Master Karilian finally understands the tremendous implications of his vision, which came directly through the meanderings of time... |
